US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of ADP Data

US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 51 points to 12,795.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 6 points to 1,347.90. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 11.50 points to 2,601.00. US stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 1.57% to 12,759.15, the S&P 500 index declining 1.54% to 1,343.36 and the Nasdaq 100 index dipping 1.36% to 2,910.32. Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average declining 0.64%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.65% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 1.42%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dipped 0.86% and India's Sensex dropped 0.16%. Light, sweet crude-oil futures for delivery in April gained $0.78 to $105.48 a barrel. However, gold futures for April delivery surged $10.50 to $1,682 an ounce. The ICE dollar index (DXY) dropped 0.13% to 79.70, versus 79.843 in late North American trading on Tuesday.
