Facebook Storefronts Do not Seem to be Working

Retailers who had opened storefronts on Facebook, including Gamestop (NYSE: GME), apparently seduced by the number of fans they had attracted on the social networking site.

GME in particular were attracted by the 3.5 million customers who listed themselves as fans. However, the company closed the storefront this week. Other companies, like J.C. Penney (NYSE: JCP), and Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN) have all open and closed Facebook strorefronts in the last year.

It would seem that Facebook is going to have to revisit that particular revenue stream.
