Brightcove IPO Opens for Trading at $14.10; After Originally Pricing at $11.00/Share
On Friday, Brightcove (NASDAQ: BCOV) announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 5,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $11.00 per share.
Brightcove is a provider of cloud-based solutions for publishing and distributing professional digital media. Brightcove Video Cloud, which is its flagship product released in 2006, is the world's leading online video platform. As of December 31, 2011, it had 3,872 customers in over 50 countries, including many of the world's leading media, retail, technology and financial services companies, as well as governments, educational institutions and non-profit organizations.
The stock opened for trading on the NASDAQ Exchange at around 10:20 a.m. ET at $14.10 per share, up 28.1% from the initial pricing.
