Genesee & Wyoming Posts 12% Decline In January Traffic

Genesee & Wyoming Inc (NYSE: GWR) reported a 12% y/y drop in its January traffic.

Genesee & Wyoming's carloads declined to 72,887 last month, from 82,735, in the year-ago period. Excluding latest acquisitions, Genesee & Wyoming's traffic fell 14%.

Metals traffic surged 22% to 8,946 carloads.

Genesee & Wyoming shares fell 0.89% to close at $60.02 on Friday.
