Volkswagen Posts 10.5% Rise In Light-Commercial-Vehicle Sales

reported a 10.5% y/y rise in its global sales of light commercial vehicles in January. Volkswagen's light commercial vehicles for the period climbed to 39,500 vehicles. Its sales in Western Europe surged 6.7% to 20,500 vehicles. Volkswagen's sales in Eastern Europe jumped 50% to 2,800 vehicles, while sales in South America climbed 14% to 11,800 vehicles. Volkswagen's shares closed at $33.56 on Friday.
