Immersion Files Complaint Against Motorola Mobility With U.S. International Trade Commission

today announced that it has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against Motorola Mobility

. The complaint alleges that certain Motorola Mobility Android-based smartphones infringe six Immersion patents that cover various uses of haptic effects in connection with touchscreens. Immersion has also filed a patent infringement complaint against Motorola Mobility in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. In the complaint against Motorola Mobility, Immersion is seeking from the ITC an exclusion order preventing the importation of infringing devices. In the suit against Motorola Mobility in the U.S. District Court, Immersion is alleging infringement of the same patents and is seeking to stop Motorola Mobility from further infringement, as well as the recovery of damages.
