A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, ahead of earnings reports from major companies. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 70 points to 12,672.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 7.30 points to 1,316.20. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 14.50 points to 2,476.50.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 0.92%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.65%, French CAC 40 index rose 1.40% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.98%.

Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 0.1076%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.33% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.20%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 1.1413% and India's Sensex jumped 1.96%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Credit Suisse upgraded Aon Corporation (NYSE: AON) from “underperform” to “neutral.” The target price for Aon has been raised from $44 to $50.

Aon shares dropped 0.04% to close at $47.97 yesterday.
