EnerNOC, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENOC) today announced that Plymouth Public Schools has selected its EfficiencySMART™ solution to streamline its energy efficiency initiatives across its schools. Plymouth Public Schools already uses EnerNOC's DemandSMART™ solution for demand response and will apply its quarterly demand response payments toward implementing EfficiencySMART. This deployment of EnerNOC's technology will increase the Massachusetts-based school district's monitoring, reporting, and alerting capabilities, with an expected payback period of fewer than 12 months.

"We compared EfficiencySMART with other energy efficiency products. EnerNOC's technology is not only more advanced, but it's also the least capital-intensive due to our demand response relationship," said Chris Hastings, Plymouth Public Schools' Energy Manager. "EfficiencySMART allows us to use our existing meters to target and achieve additional energy savings, and it made perfect sense to re-invest our demand response revenue in increased energy efficiency."

By harnessing real-time meter data from a variety of sources, EfficiencySMART allows multi-site organizations like Plymouth Public Schools to compare and optimize energy usage across different facilities. The application establishes benchmarks within and across buildings, identifies energy efficiency measures through advanced analytics, and delivers reports of actionable low- and no-cost efficiency recommendations that are prioritized by anticipated return on investment. In addition, EfficiencySMART enables organizations to configure and disseminate real-time alerts and alarms to avoid unnecessary energy usage and demand charges. Members of EnerNOC's energy analyst team are also available to advise customers on how to maximize savings over time.
