reported upbeat fourth-quarter revenue. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 96 points to 12,433.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 11.10 points to 1,286.70. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 20.50 points to 2,367.25.

European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 1.45%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 1.03%, French CAC 40 index rose 2.29% and German DAX 30 index surged 2.34%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.3803%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 2.69% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 1.08%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.7345% and India's Sensex jumped 2.22%.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank upgraded EOG Resources Inc

EOG

from “hold” to “buy.” The target price for EOG Resources has been raised from $109 to $125. EOG Resources shares gained 0.05% to $102.22 in after-hours trading.
