German exports surged 2.5% in November, according to data.
The seasonally-adjusted trade surplus widened to 15.1 billion euros in November, versus a revised 12.5 billion the month earlier, according to data from the Federal Statistics Office. Economists were expecting trade surplus to drop to 12.0 billion euros.
Economists were expecting exports to rise 0.7%. Imports declined 0.4%, versus economists' estimates for a 1.1% rise.
