German December Unemployment Rate Declines To 6.8%

According to the federal labor office, the seasonally-adjusted number of unemployed German workers dropped by 22,000 in December. Economists were expecting a drop of 10,000. The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate declined to 6.8% in December, versus 6.9% in the earlier month.
