Mercedes-Benz Projects 13% Rise In 2012 Output: Report

Mercedes-Benz brand expects to raise production by 13% next year. It projects production to surge to more than 1.4 million passenger vehicles, Automotive News Europe reports on its website. Excluding commercial vehicles, and Smart and Maybach vehicles, Mercedes expects to produce 1,417,400 passenger cars globally in 2012, according to the report. Mercedes projects its total passenger car output, including Smart and soon-to-be-phased-out Maybach vehicles, to surge to around 1.52 million next year and around 1.67 million in 2013, Automotive News Europe reports. DDAIF shares gained 0.58% to $45.26 at 10:30 am.
