Top Narrow Based Indexes For December 22
By 12:55 pm, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 62.18 points, or 0.51%, to 12,169.92, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 9.45 points, or 0.76%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 21.42 points, or 0.83%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are driving the markets are Chinese Solar Stocks, which have gained 10.1%, Solar Stocks, up 4.3%, and Digital Semiconductor Stocks, moving 4.2% higher as a group.
The best performing Tickerspy Solar stock has been DayStar Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: DSTI), which was up 14.2%. DSTI shares have dipped 84.57% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 1.04% in the same period.
