A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 53 points to 12,077.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 5.80 points to 1,242.10. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 10.75 points to 2,249.75.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index gained 1.01%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 1.14%, French CAC 40 index rose 1.34% and German DAX 30 index gained 1.08%.
Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.7463%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 1.15% and China's Shanghai Composite declining 0.22%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.2075% and India's Sensex gained 0.82%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Mizuho upgraded Zimmer Holdings Inc (NYSE: ZMH) from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for Zimmer Holdings has been raised from $53 to $62.
Zimmer Holdings shares gained 2.23% to close at $51.83 yesterday.
