A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, ahead of data on nonfarm jobs. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 124 points to 12,127.00 and futures on the S&P 500 stock index rose 13.40 points to 1,257.00. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 25.50 points to 2,334.75.
A Peek Into Global Markets Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 0.5394%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 1.36% and China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.10%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.2007% and India's Sensex gained 2.20%. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has gained 1.18%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 1.64%, German DAX 30 index rose 1.42% and France CAC 40 index gained 1.56%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Citigroup raised the price target on Western Digital Corp (NYSE: WDC) from $37 to $48. Citigroup maintained its “buy” rating on Western Digital.
Western Digital shares surged 8.96% to $31.87 in pre-market trading.
