Italian retail sales dropped in September.
According to national statistics institute Istat, retail sales dipped 0.4% in September, versus August in seasonally adjusted terms. Economists were expecting retail sales to be flat. Retail sales in August fell 0.1%.
Italian retail sales dipped 0.6% in the third quarter, versus the earlier three months.
