On the economic calendar, Producer Price Index MoM came in at -.3% versus an estimate of -0.1%, PPI Food & Energy MoM came in at 0% versus an estimate of 0.1%, and Advance Retail Sales came out at 0.5% versus an estimate of 0.3%. On the commodity front, gold and silver futures traded higher today, with gold trading about 0.05% higher today. Energy futures are mixed as well, with crude oil up over 1.3% near the $99.40 level and gasoline futures are trading lower by about 0.1%. Natural Gas futures are lower by about 1.2% and copper futures are trading over 1.9% higher.

In corporate news, Velti (NASDAQ: VELT) announced that it will acquire Mobile Interactive Group, the UK's largest mobile marketing company. The company hopes to diversify its product offerings, and expects the transaction to be accretive to 2012 earnings. Terms of the transaction were undisclosed.
Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN) announced that it will give out a quarterly cash dividend of $0.05. Shareholders as of November 30, 2011 will also receive a special dividend of $0.50.
