Lloyds Banking Group CEO to Take Medical Leave

The Board of Lloyds Banking Group (NYSE: LYG) announces that following medical advice António Horta-Osório is taking a temporary leave of absence from his duties as Group Chief Executive of the bank due to illness. António is expected to return to his position before the end of the year.

The Board of Lloyds Banking Group also announces that Tim Tookey has been appointed interim Group Chief Executive during António Horta-Osório's temporary leave of absence in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer. As stated in our announcement earlier today, António Horta-Osório is expected to return to his position before the end of the year.
