A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data and earnings reports. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 51 points to 11,876.00 and futures on the S&P 500 stock index rose 6.60 points to 1,253.70. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 10.50 points to 2,385.25. A Peek Into Global Markets Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.9235%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.60% and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 1.66%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.0461% and India's Sensex gained 1.86%. European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has gained 0.28%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.23%, German DAX 30 index rose 1.49% and France CAC 40 index dropped 0.20%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Robert W. Baird downgraded Landstar System (NASDAQ: LSTR) from “outperform” to “neutral.” The target price for TEVA has been raised from $48 to $51.
