Shares of Zoom Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: ZOOM) surged about 32% after the company signed a definitive agreement to buy a 55% share of Portables Unlimited LLC.

Evergreen Energy Inc (NYSE: EEE named Judith Tanselle as its President.

Shares of Genesee & Wyoming Inc (NYSE: GWR) fell about 1.5% after the company reported traffic volumes for September 2011 and the third quarter of 2011. GWI's traffic for September climbed 13.3% y/y to 83,608 carloads. GWI's traffic in the third quarter surged 15.1% y/y to 256,190 carloads.

Shares of Ralcorp Holdings Inc (NYSE: RAH) fell about 0.2% after the company named Robert Vitale as Chief Financial Officer of Post Holdings, effective November 1, 2011.
