Universal American Announces Extension of Exchange Offer

Universal American Corp. (NYSE: UAM) announced today that it has extended the expiration date for its exchange offer to exchange up to $40,000,000 of its 8.50% Series A Mandatorily Redeemable Preferred Shares for a like principal amount of its 8.5% Series A Mandatorily Redeemable Preferred Shares, which have been registered under the Securities Act of 1933.
