Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE: CEL) announced that a purported class action lawsuit against the Company and two other cellular operators was filed in the District Court of Central Region, by plaintiffs alleging to be subscribers of the defendants.

The plaintiffs allege that the defendants unlawfully and in violation of their licenses charged their subscribers based on units which are different than the units allegedly required by the defendants' licenses, for calls initiated or received by the subscribers while abroad.

The plaintiffs did not state any estimate of the total amount claimed from any of the defendants, if the lawsuit is certified as a class action.
