UPDATE: Johnson & Johnson: FDA Approves XARELTO

Johnson & Johnson unit Janssen Pharmaceuticals announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved XARELTO, a novel, once-daily, oral anticoagulant for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis which may lead to a pulmonary embolism in people undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery.
