United Airlines has introduced a new travel option called Premier Travel. Included in the bundled package are two checked bags, seating in the Economy Plus section of the cabin, early boarding, priority check-in, priority security line access (where available) and a 25% mileage bonus in the MileagePlus frequent flyer program.

Premier Travel may be purchased online at united.com or at any United airport self-service kiosk. The cost varies according to the itinerary being flown and starts at $47 each-way for Newark to Washington, D.C., as an example. Los Angeles to San Francisco costs $56 each-way and San Francisco to Tokyo, Japan is priced at $167.

United’s Economy Plus section of the aircraft is located in the forward part of the coach cabin and offers up to five inches of additional legroom than standard economy. The package is non-refundable once purchased unless Economy Plus seating isn’t available on the aircraft. In this instance a refund can be requested on-line for the preferred seating portion of the package.
