Dunkin’ Brands' Growth Strategy

In an interview with CNBC, Dunkin’ Brand's executive chairman and former CEO Jon Luther said that the recession has created new opportunities for the company. He said that companies need to re-prioritize their strategies according to changed circumstances.

According to him, Dunkins’ brands saw a real transaction growth during the year. However, he said that he is not seeing any ‘rhythm’ from consumers. Dunkins’ brands currently have 9,087 locations in 47 states and in Washington D.C. It employs 1126 corporate employees. The company is also expanding internationally. Between Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins, the company is planning to add 500 more locations this year. According to him, Baskins Robbins is its #1 brand in Middle East.
