CNBC's Mad Money Jim Cramer likes Inergy, L.P. (NASDAQ: NRGY) because he believes that propane stocks are offering great yields. He doesn't think that critics are right when they say that most of these companies are fully priced. NRGY gained 1.63% today.
Jim Cramer is also bullish on Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) as he thinks that Brian Moynihan is a good choice for CEO. He added that as soon as they get CEO the stock will jump. BAC gained 2.93%, and closed at $15.13.
A123 (NASDAQ: AONE) is a sell candidate in Cramer's opinion. He thinks this story is over and investors should take their money. AONE fell 2.65% on Thursday.
First Niagara Financial Group Inc. (NASDAQ: FNFG) is a solid bank that should be owned, said Cramer, and added that he really likes their management. FNFG gained 1.28% in Thursday's trading session.
Jim Cramer thinks that Crocs (NASDAQ: CROX) should not be bought, because he wants to see more from them. CROX gained 8.4% today.
I gave up Cramer several years ago, when he broadcasted his opinons regarding the his pot of gold called Sears Holdings.
Cramer is knee jerk comedy, mixed in with a kernal of investing, old wives tales.
The 'Smart Grid' is not over, in fact it is only just beginning. A123 Systems (AONE) is part of President Obama's dream to reinvent how the grid functions. The GM Volt is part of the AONE business model as well, but so are other lithium battery applications, in all of the consumer products that play a major part in "CRAMER'S BULL MARKET"!
Cramer is just trying to punch holes in President Obama's Smart Grid Dream, so that his other financial buddies can jump in at a lower AONE price.
My advice: DUMP DUMP DUMP....CRAMER!
Nonsense.
AONE has NO business model, they lose money on every pack they sell and have NO plan or becoming profitable.
As for the GM Volt, there are NO A123 batteries in that vehicle, nor is GM working with A123 at this time. In order for A123 to get their foot in the door with any of the large OEMS they are going to have to take another bath on any products they ship. Chances are that this loser will go the way of Cobasys (which burned through $400M and was sold for peanuts to SBL)
I'm sure that Jim Cramer failed to note, on the topic of profits, that Dr. Yet-Ming Chiang, co-founder of A123 Systems, also co-founded American Superconductor (AMSC) back in 1987.
The point being, that it has taken AMSC decades to turn a profit, yet Jim Cramer can't crow enough praise for American Superconductor, which is in line with Dr. Chiang's dynasty.
In the world of politics and economics, birds of the feather flock together, which is why AMSC and AONE share the same promising, 'Smart Grid' colors.
Profits will come to AONE and AMSC, because both companies share the same brilliance in Dr. Yet-Ming Chiang.
MAD MONEY Devotees, please make a note of this....
I disagree whole heartedly with Cramer, A123 Systems which just dipped to a record low makes it a great time to buy. They have revolutionized lithium batteries and I feel they will continue to grow as a company here very shortly and return to the mid 20's per share. But what would I know? I'm just a dude that does his own market research instead of listening to political/econonomical crack pots.
President Obama's 'Smart Grid Dream'
"In early August, the US administration proved their support to help overcome this chicken and egg issue by granting over $2B in funding to various battery companies like Ener1, A123 Systems and Johnson Controls Inc." BrettAlan
No more dams will be built on America's wild rivers, and the wind does not blow all the time. The power grid needs a method on storing energy, and A123 Systems will be there in the development.
A123 Systems did lose the GM Volts deal, but it is still not determined whether the replacement will be a safer alternative, by the Crash Test Dummies. Maybe once Ralph Nader notes that nanotechnolgy in lithium batteries is the safest mode for American motorists, his old pals at GM will reconsider their error.
Again; how can Cramer say that there is a Bull Rally, that would naturaly include all levels of portable consumer goods, while at the same time insist that the A123 lithiium battery play is finished?
President Obama's Dream Lives! Question Cramer's hidden agenda.
