"Mad Money Lightning Round:" Jim Cramer Favors TQNT, AKS, AKAM, WLT, HE, DVN, MTW, WFT, DNDN
In his "Mad Money Lightning Round," Jim Cramer said that Triquint Semiconductor (NASDAQ: TQNT) is the key player in the mobile Internet tsunami and is worth investing into. TQNT added 1.68% in after hours trading.
Although Jim liked AK Steel Holding (NYSE: AKS) for its steel business, he said that traders should also place a bet on Walter Industries (NYSE: WLT) as there is a shortage of metallurgical coal. While AKS gained 0.22%, WLT added 0.11% in after hours.
Jim expressed his liking for Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM), since it is also benefiting from the mobile tsunami. AKAM moved up 0.15% in after hours trading.
When asked about Hawaiian Electric (NYSE: HE), Cramer said he had been bearish on the stock for too long now and has started liking it for its 5% yield. Cramer believes that HE is about to hit bottom and has diversified operations. HE lost 0.75% in after hours trading.
Jim believes that natural gas plays, such as Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) will underperform if gas prices do not rise and Washington does not offer help in the near term. DVN fell 0.61% in after hours trading.
Stocks such as Inverness Medical (NYSE: IMA) have stopped moving up and Jim disclosed that he is not buying them. IMA gained 0.39% in after hours.
Jim said that although he had written off Manitowoc (NYSE: MTW), the stock is on a bull run. As a result, he would now prefer to invest in it. MTW added 0.06% in after hours trading.
Cramer said Nabors Industries (NYSE: NBR) has no edge and he would rather invest in Weatherford International (NYSE: WFT). While WFT is trading at $16, NBR is at $19.
Although Jim has missed a lot of move in Dendreon (NASDAQ: DNDN), he is now sticking with it. DNDN stepped up 0.03% in the after hours session.
