Billionaire entrepreneur Tilman Fertitta praised President Donald Trump and is a believer in his vision to spur economic growth.

Fertitta, the billionaire owner of Landrys and star of CNBC's "Billion Dollar Buyer," told CNBC Trump's vision of helping American businesses will greatly benefit the American people.

Fertitta said Trump is removing a lot of the power held by prior governments and handing it over to businesses. Combined with the might of American capitalism, he believes businesses are ready to soar.

"There's been so much regulation in all aspects of the government over the last eight years that to deregulate all this regulation is going to be very good for the oil business, the energy business, the restaurant business," he said.

But de-regulating the federal government is just one step in creating an environment where businesses can flourish. The other necessary component is the repeal and replace of Obamacare. He suggested Obamacare simply doesn't work - at least for his organization that boasts 60,000 employees.

Finally, Fertitta pointed out he's far from the only person who believes the economy will flourish under Trump's administration.

"Obviously the capital markets like what he is doing since the stock market continues to go up, so that's a very good positive," he concluded.
