Party City Holdco Inc PRTY beat Q1FY16 earnings Thursday morning while posting guidance at the lower end of analyst estimates. Party City rose about 2.3 percent to $13.45.
On CNBC, Josh Brown ripped Party City noting concerns from advancing online competitors such as Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN.
"If we think Macy's Inc. M, Target TGT and these other companies can't stave off Amazon, why would we think Party City is going to be safe in the long run?"
"Not A Fan, I'd Be Out"
Brown also noted the strong downtrend Party City is experiencing and how the company is "very dependent on getting a couple key events during the course of the year right," noting "seasonal risk."
