Rita Hazan, a celebrity colorist, was featured on CNBC as she offered some entrepreneurial tips that landed her a client list that includes the "who's who" of Hollywood.
Celebrity clients, including Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez all count on Hazan to shape their hair style.
"My goal was just to have a good time, do what I love to do, learn as much as I can," Hazan told CNBC. "I just always said, 'I'm going to do this until I stop loving it.' I want to do things that I only love and I never stopped loving it."
"It just all happened," she added.
Hazan's reputation as a "go-to" person among Hollywood celebrities naturally wasn't easy. This is where aspiring entrepreneurs from any sector can pick up some business tips.
Hazan said that her friends and family were not initially supportive of her decision to go to beauty school. However, through hard work and perseverance she went on to open a salon on the iconic Fifth Avenue in New York City and then launched her own product line, which is now sold at Sephora stores.
They key to success? Hazan hinted that it is important to pay your dues and work overtime.
"I was always laser-focused on learning my craft and my skill and trying to be super great at it," Hazan also said.
