Last year at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit, Warren Buffett, Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
BRK
had predicted that Hillary Clinton is going to win the presidential election of 2016. Buffett was recently interviewed by CNBC, where he reiterated on his stand and also discussed his political views. Clinton For 2016 When Buffett was asked if he would still bet money on Hillary Clinton running and winning the presidential election in 2016, he reiterated, "she's extremely likely to be the Democratic nominee and I think she is very likely to be the president of United States." Republicans vs. Democrats On his views on Republicans, Buffett said "Oh, I think well of a number of Republicans. I've vote for Republicans, I have contributed to Republicans in the last few years. Yeah, I can think of certain Republicans candidates that I would vote for in preference to certain Democratic candidates, but I am not going to give you names." "There are a couple of democrats that if they were the nominees, I would end up voting for the Republican probably." Buffett also remarked, "I am not a card carrying Democrat. I vote Democrat most of the time and I agree with their position on social matters to a very significant degree, but I am not a straight down the road Democrat." Elizabeth Warren When asked what he makes of Senator from Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren, and her views of Wall Street, Buffett replied, "Well, I think that she would do better if she was less angry and demonized less. I mean, I believe in hate the centre and love the centre and I also believe in praising by name and criticizing by category and I am not sure if I have told or convinced Elizabeth Warren that that's the way to go."
