Karen Finerman shared with the audience her analysis of
Sunedison IncSUNE. She explained that the solar stocks usually trade together with crude oil in short and intermediate term, although people claim that they don't have anything to do with each other. Recently, the stock traded lower, but not as much as oil did.
Finerman recommended a long position in the name, because the company has built a significant backlog and it has a yieldco with
TerraForm Power IncTERP which secures financing. The management is committed to building value for shareholders. Finerman also likes the timing for this purchase because crude oil is at $48 and even if it stays at this level
Sunedison would trade higher.
