Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Talks Technology In The NFL

Robert Kraft, CEO and chairman of The Kraft Group and owner of the New England Patriots, spoke Friday on CNBC's Squawk Box about money in the NFL via future media deals.

"I think we're the one live-television product … 97 percent is live watching of TV games. Very little DVR. And I think it's the only real appointment television product that mass audiences want to see," said Kraft.

When asked about future streaming deals for mobile devices, Kraft said the NFL has an exclusive deal with Verizon Communications.

“We're considering all - all the different ways we can give to our consumers. You know, we have this NFL NOW, which is a customized digital product for our consumers, and we will be considering alternative and ways to better serve out costumer.

In regards to the anticipated AT&T Inc. and DIRECTV deal, Kraft said that he's hopeful it will close shortly and is looking forward to the partnership.

"They have presented our product beautifully and we're really happy to have them," said Kraft.
