Peek.com CEO and co-founder Ruzwana Bashir appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box Friday morning to talk

. Her company has existed for just 11 months, and has already seen backing from the likes of

Eric Schmidt, amongst other high-profile investors. She started the company after spending hours researching the sites and activities of Istanbul for a weekend trip. Bashir saw that using guidebooks and going online, and physically calling to make her reservations, was just too much work. She then decided it was time to make a one-stop option for making a memorable trip. "So whether you want to go out and buy a ticket for the museum, or all kinds, a private tour of a winery or even go swimming with sharks. You guys are a little dangerous in that way. You can go to Peek.com and easily book these things online," said Bashir.

Currently, Peek.com covers 17 cities, 15 American regions, London, and Paris, but Bashir says that they're growing fast, and adding more cities. "There's quite a lot of legwork. So, one of the things that we need to do is go out and find the highest quality activities, work directly with those activities' providers to make sure that all of our costumers get the best price and really great costumer service," said Bashir. Currently, they're working on Seattle and Chicago, utilizing a team of travel journalists and taste makers, "like Diane von Furstenberg or Wolfgang Puck, will give us ideas on the best things that they like to do," Bashir said.
