Earnings reporting season is in the full swing and most of the companies are beating the market estimates.

Dow Chemical (NYSE: DOW) beat the market consensus, but according to traders, beating the market is longer enough. Market consensus for Dow was at $0.11, but the buyside whisper number was near to $0.20. So, Dow beat the market by posting $0.18 figures but still fell short of the whisper number.

UPS (NYSE: UPS) also surpassed the street estimates by the margin of a penny. DR Horton Inc. (NYSE: DHI) reported a profit of $0.56 in contrast to market expectation of loss of $0.14.
