Super Bowl is not just Football anymore, it is an advertising extravaganza.

According to CNBC’s Julia Boorstin, CBS (NYSE: CBS) has reported that they are “virtually” sold out. TNS media intelligence has suggested that ad prices in 2009 went up as high as $4 million.

According to media reports, CBS typically sells the ads for $2.5-2.8 million. CBS also reported that it is confident that prices would be better this year on all the fronts viz. highest-priced spot, average per-spot cost and total dollar volume.
