AT&T (NYSE: ATT) posted impressive quarterly results. According to CNBC's Julia Boorstin, the company intentionally chose to release its earnings after Apple' (NASDAQ: AAPL) big unveiling of iPad.
The company declared 25 percent growth in its earnings. The company also added 2.7 million wireless subscribers to its kitty. It seems like most of those subscribers came to AT&T due to the lure of iPhone.
AT&T added yet another feather to its cap when Apple's Steve Jobs announced that AT&T will be the 3-G provider for the new tablet iPad. This new agreement also provides the hope of renewal of the iPhone contract. Apple's iPhone contract with AT&T is schedules to expire at the end of 2010.
