Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) is slated to report its Q4Y09 numbers later today.

According to CNBC’s Jim Goldman, Yahoo is unlikely to repeat Google's (NASDAQ: GOOG) stellar performance. Google had cited marketplace recovery as a catalyst for its superb results. Google performed well in the retail search segment, where Yahoo has negligible presence.

Yahoo’s key area of Financial Services Sector is still in the throes of economic downturn. The market is expecting an EPS of $0.11 from Yahoo. Revenue estimates have been pegged at $1.23 billion, excluding traffic acquisition costs. EBITDA has been estimated at $433 million and display ad revenue is likely to decline by 8 percent.
