Polypore Up On Strong Volume After 'Mad Money' Mention (PPO)

In last night's episode of 'Mad Money', host Jim Cramer highlighted Polypore International Inc (NYSE: PPO) as a company that is near its 52 week high, and is poised to go higher.

Shares are currently up 93 cents to trade at $27.15.

Volume is also very strong, as the company has already traded 480,000 shares. The daily trading volume for PPO is only 490,000 shares.

On the CNBC show that he hosts, Cramer highlighted the acid batter business, as well as the lithium ion battery sector as potential catalysts for shares to move higher.

Polypore International, Inc., a technology filtration company, develops, manufactures, and markets microporous membranes used in separation and filtration processes. It operates in two segments, Energy Storage and Separations Media. The Energy Storage segment offers membranes that provide the function of separating the cathode and anode in various applications, including personal electronic devices, cordless power tools, electric drive vehicles, and electricity grid storage systems. Its membranes are also used in lead-acid batteries that are used in transportation and industrial applications.
