E*Trade Financial (NASDAQ: ETFC) rhetoric about a potential takeover has slowed down and vol has come out of the near, and even far out, options as expected. The takeover may happen, but the urgency we saw last week is definitely not in the options.
One investor is taking a small shot at the E*Trade Financial Apr 2 call options, purchasing 1950 contracts on the offer of 0.22. The investor is taking advantage of the decreased vol and the decline in the stock this morning.
