America First: 9 Of The Country's Favorite Brands Are American

President Donald Trump's America-first pledge may or may not have played a factor in a recent survey among Americans, which found that nine of the top 10 most favorable brands are American.

According to a Statista report, Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN ranked first in a survey overseen by Morning Consult, which surveyed close to 200,000 people to rank their favorite brand among any company in the world.

Statista highlighted a quote from Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos who famously said that one happy customer might tell six friends about their experience. But one unhappy client can reach 6,000 people through the internet. Needless to say, the executive did a good job in sticking true to his philosophy based on the company's top ranks in the survey.

The Lone Foreign Company

Statista continued that Japan-based Sony Corp (ADR) SNE was the lone non-American company to rank in the top 10. The maker of various electronic goods along with entertainment segments ranked as the eight most popular brand.

Here is the full ranking of America's favorite brands based on their respective favorability rating:

    1. Amazon: 76 percent.
    2. Alphabet Inc GOOG GOOGL's Google: 75 percent.
    3. United Parcel Service, Inc. UPS: 74 percent.
    4. Hershey Co HSY - 73 percent.
    5. FedEx Corporation FDX: 73 percent.
    6. Campbell Soup Company CPB: 71 percent.
    7. Google's YouTube: 71 percent.
    8. Sony: 70 percent.
    9. Home Depot Inc HD: 70 percent.
    10. Lowe's Companies, Inc. LOW: 70 percent.
