Cotton Futures Lower

March New York Cotton is trading at 74.49, down 0.52 cents/lb. May New York cotton is trading at 76.32, down 0.45 cents/lb. New York cotton futures are trading lower during early trading Friday. The USDA reported on Thursday that cotton export sales for the current marketing year as of February 9th are now 86.6 percent of the agency forecast versus the five year average of 85.9 percent. New York cotton futures are closed Monday.
