March Corn is trading at 346 1/2, down 3/4 of a cent/bushel. May Corn is trading at 353 1/4, down 3/4 of a cent/bushel. Corn futures are trading steady to lower. Market chatter about global demand for U.S. corn and Southern Hemisphere weather is making the rounds. The USDA reported on Thursday that corn export sales for the current marketing year as of December 15th are now 60.8 percent of the agency forecast versus the five year average of 56.1 percent. Some talk about the impacts on corn demand from various outbreaks of bird flu in Asia is showing up.
