Sugar Futures Trading Higher

March New York Sugar is trading at 19.28, up 0.34 cents/lb. May New York Sugar is trading at 18.80, up 0.32 cents/lb. New York Sugar futures are trading in the middle of the session range. Market chatter about global sugar production and global currency values is making the rounds. Street estimates for the global 2016-2017 sugar supply and demand deficit are showing up at 7.5 million tonnes, a little lower than late summer estimates.
