Live Cattle Futures Trading Lower

December live cattle is trading at 98.80, down 0.42 cents/lb. February live cattle is trading at 100.27, down 0.35 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading lower and choppy just after the open. The USDA cattle slaughter on Tuesday was 115,000 head, the total for the week is 230,000 head versus 225,000 last year at this time.
