U.S. Dollar Index Higher, Case-Shiller Home Index Eases

The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 95.52, up 0.31. The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at session highs. Market chatter about global headline news and politics is making the rounds. The Case-Shiller home price index for July showed that home prices across 20 major metropolitan areas in the U.S. rose 5 percent year over year easing from a 5.1 percent increase in June. It was the lowest gain since August of 2015. On the month the index rose 0.6 percent versus a 0.8 percent rise in June.
