The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.03, down 0.29. The U.S. dollar index is trading choppy and a little above the lows of the session. Market chatter about U.S. economic data due out today is just beginning to make the rounds. The Case-Shiller home price index is due out at 9:00 a.m. ET and Markit's services PMI (purchasing managers survey) is due out at 9:45 a.m. ET. The Census Bureau monthly report on new home sales is due out at 10:00 a.m. ET and the Conference Board's (CB) reading on July consumer confidence is due out at 10:00 a.m. ET.
