U.S. Dollar Index Little Lower, Jobless Claims Flat

The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 96.01, down 0.19. The U.S. dollar index is trading choppy and remains a little above the lows of the session. The Department of Labor reported that weekly jobless claims were flat at 254,000 versus 254,000 last week. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that year over year Core PPI (producer prices) for June was 1.3 percent versus 1.2 percent May. Year over year PPI rose to 0.3 percent versus minus 0.1 percent in May.
