Live Cattle futures lower

Friday's USDA cattle slaughter was 103,000 head versus a year ago at 115,000 head. Live cattle futures ended Friday's trading session lower after early gains eroded during the latter part of the trading day. At last check October Live Cattle was trading at 146.25, down 0.42 and December Live Cattle at last check was trading at 147.50, down 0.62.
