Live Cattle Futures Higher

Thursday' s USDA Cattle slaughter was 116,000 head versus a year ago at 119,000 head. Live Cattle futures traded higher on Thursday after a steady open. At last check August Cattle was trading at 152.97, up 1.55 and October cattle was trading at 154.67, up 1.35. Market talk about the futures discount to cash was supportive and led to some buying during the session.
